Environment and Ecology for UPSC and State Civil Services Examinations

About the Book

The book covers the environment and ecology portions of the Preliminary and Main syllabus of the UPSC Civil Services Examination and of the State Public Service Commission examinations: environmental issues, conservation, biodiversity and sustainable development, with previous-year question analysis and practice questions. The first edition was published under the same title; the second edition followed in March 2024.

The author brings to the subject a degree in veterinary science, professional training and service in the Indian Forest Service, and administrative experience of environmental management as District Magistrate, including wetland conservation, flood response and disaster preparedness.
