The Challenge

Drug abuse among young people in south Kashmir, addressed through the Union Territory's Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan.

The Intervention

A 100-day campaign launched on 11 April 2026: a meeting with clerics, NCORD enforcement reviews, poppy destruction, a mega padyatra on 9 May, and cricket tournaments as youth outreach (South Kashmir Cricket Cup, 22 April; Unity Cup 2026, 14 June; under-17 girls' cricket, August).

Implementation

Coordinated by the district NCORD committee with police, revenue and youth-services departments.

Outcome

Campaign in progress. Outcome figures were not published in the sources available at the time of writing.
